Watch video: Sea trout on their way out The Lærdal River to graze in the Sognefjord

Our underwater camera has captured sea trout on their way out into the Sognefjord to graze.

The Lærdal Wild Salmon Visitor Centre opened for the season on May 1st. In The Lærdal River , right outside the center, we have placed an underwater camera. The camera films what is happening in the river. We show the live image on a screen in the exhibition at the visitor center.

On Friday, May 15th between 12:00 and 31:00, sea trout appeared in front of the underwater camera. These are probably sea trout on their way out to the Sognefjord to graze. You can see them in the video below.

Did you know that sea trout return to the river after 60 days in the sea? This is usually the case every year.

We look forward to seeing what more exciting things come to our camera in the near future!

You can see the live images in our exhibition, which is open every day from May 1 to September 30. If you would like a guided tour, it must be booked in advance.
