About salmon - biology and live salmon
How high can the salmon jump?
Or how does it find its way from the sea to the river where it was born? You can find the answers in the exhibition, along with other information about the salmon's life. We tell you about the different stages from birth (spawning), growing up in the river, the migration out to the big food bowl in the sea and back to the feeding river to give life to new salmon fry.
You will learn about the habitat, what it eats, the senses and anatomy of the salmon. You can also see large live salmon, salmon fry and sea trout in our observatory.
You can see the salmon on film, in displays or you can play and immerse yourself in our interactive screens. You can test your knowledge in a quiz for adults and children.
